International School Ruhr is a private school in Essen which follows the PYP and DP programs of the International Baccalaureate Organization and offers the Cambridge IGCSEs. There are currently 140 students enrolled, ages 3-19, representing ca. 30 countries. Lessons are taught in English although all students also learn German, as well as Spanish in Secondary Years (grades 6-12).
Our Secondary Years (SY) also implements autonomous learning and differentiation throughout it’s program.
The International School Ruhr is looking for :
- Teacher students
- Students who are interested in learning about other school systems
The internship is unpaid, times are flexible within school hours.

Before the start of the internship a police record “polizeiliches Führungszeugnis” is needed. The costs will be paid by the school.
Applicants need to speak English very well and should ideally study to become a teacher. They should be interested to get to know international curricula.
